Lets chat about your bridal party! This is when the fun REALLY begins! I know from experience that all brides want their closest friends to have an AMAZING time during their big day and I will make sure that happens! Bridal party portraits should be a ton of FUN! After you share your first look, depending on the locations and the timing of the day, your bridal party will join us for portraits! If all goes well, we will be able to accomplish ALL of your bridal party portraits BEFORE the ceremony. This means taht your guys and gals will be free to mingle at cocktail hour if they wish! If there are flower girls and ring bearers involved, they can either join us for the pre-ceremony portraits or we can take one final group photo after the ceremony, before family formals. Be sure your groomsmen arrive with boutonniers and your bridesmaids with bouquets!

When it comes time to select bridal party attire, my biggest piece of advise would be to shop around. David’s Bridal and bridal boutiques will always have options but recently, I ahve seen bridesmaids wear amazing dresses from everyday stores such as Macy’s Anthropology, LOFT, Jcrew, Mod Cloth, Nordstrom and Bananna Republic! also if you come across a sale, it’s actually more enconomical for guys to buy suits rather than spend $175 to rent on for one day!

When your picking your bridal party, REALLY think about the fact that these people will not only be with you throughout a HUGE chunk of your day, but in your homes for years to coms since they will be in a lot of your wedding photos.

If that means you have a smaller bridal party, than so be it. You only want your BEST and most supportive friends that will be there for you in the long run to decorate the walls of your home and stand beside you while you make the biggest committment of your life.

Don't worry about having your bridesmaids all wearing the same dress! You all have different shapes, sizes, and support requirements! As you can see in the above photo, one of the brides was 8 months pregnant so what worked for the bridesmaid on the opposite side of the bride was not going to work for her. Find dresses that are going to make you all look your best and feel comfortable in. Because if you don't feel comfortable, that may translate into the photos.
